Leave A Memory (I am not dying or anything)

I got this from Christie's blog and she got it from Meredith's blog!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you back!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all ☺....thats not true---go ahead and say it---see if it changes anything!

I remember that everytime you saw Nolan right after he was born, you could not help saying, sometimes in a high pitched voice, "He is so darn cute!" I swear you must have said that at least 50 times! I agree though, he was so darn cute! And you were the proudest Granny!

I'm trying to think of a young memory because I think our childhood was fun. But unfortunately, all my best memories are of me teasing you so unmercifully. Can you forgive me? But you were such an easy target. The stupid blooding doll's arm that I pulled on a string from under the couch while we were watching the thriller "the crawling hand". I do remember you sitting on the top of the couch anxiously watching to see if Timmy was going to be rescued in time when Lassie ran for help for something. You would be so intense watching TV. And would cry so easily. As a young girl, you were just sweet and innocent. I hope your older sisters didn't corrupt you too much. Then as a teenager you really developed your talents and you earned my respect. I have fond memories of girls' camp when we went together. Remember the hidden peanut? I think you and I made an awesome team in those days. And now as adults, I respect you more than you will ever know. I have great memories of your visits to our house and our visits to yours when the kids were young. I think you and I were like the odd couple when we were together, I was compulsive about clean and order and you were the easy-going, fun one. I especially remember our crazy trip to visit Di in Idaho. We drove with 8? kids ages 12 to 2 months. You were nursing the young one (Ashley?) as we drove and our two oldest both wanted to be the boss of the younger ones. It was chaos and I didn't enjoy it all, but now looking back, I'm glad we did it. Remember the spiders coming out of the air vents at Di's house? Oh, yeah, lots of fun!

I hate not having spell check on comments- the word should be "bloody arm"

Yeah, it was fun, but it was Dad's idea! He had to talk me into it and of course I said yes after a while. I know that I did a lot of fun things like that, but that one wasn't mine!

Pat, You weren't that bad!! I love to tell the story about the crawling arm! Oh, I was sooooooo afraid, but I still kept watching the movie! And I WAS a easy target! Remember the toy Indian at Grandma house? Oh boy, what a baby!

Girls' Camp was fun and we rocked finging the peanut!!! Those were fun times.

The trip to Idaho was hard, but on the way home, when all of us were tired and grumpy, you did a prank. You were driving in Las Vegas and we were stopping for gas, and you made the van sound like the van had a problem and of course, you acted like it was dying! Before I freaked out, OK, I freaked out and probably Christie too, but you put the van in gear and laughed! We all laughed and we relaxed!

I've looked up to you as a sister and now I friend! I'm so glad you moved to Blythe!

Oh, Pat...there were even more kids on the trip to Idaho than you remember! LINDSEY was the baby! That means my mom had 7 and you had 4! 11 kids 11 and under! It was 1987 and I turned 12 shortly after the trip. I have so many memories of that trip, including a rest stop where we made up a story about a dead body and a long stop at a park (in St. George, I think) when I remember worrying that we weren't going to make it because you were both tired. Remember the seat cover/pockets my mom made for the van? That was our first van and I don't think we'd had it very long because I think Lindsey was a baby when we got it.

As for my memory...it's so hard to pick one. Of course there was the time when I was 8 that you were YW pres. and the YW came over and TP'ed the house and you caught them and joined in and then you let me come with to TP Bishop Palmer's house and we hid over at the Winters' next door! I felt SO grown up to be included!
